To get it out of the way...I give up on the 100 Challenge. What was once a fun inspiring way to figure out how to draw a picture and have it match a theme has become a really tiresome monolith of meaningless, empty words looming over me. I have submitted 99 deviations since my last 100 Challenge entry and NONE ARE RELATED.

It is no longer a matter of needing those prompts to inspire me to work on this story or get 100 drawings into my gallery. It's a matter of no longer caring if a picture I enjoyed drawing had anything to do with the 100 Challenge or not.

Okay, wow, I feel much better already.

In other news, it is the day - Merry Christmas to everyone who stops by to read this! I have met some amazing people through this site, lately, and have had so many nice people leave nice, funny, thoughtful, helpful or otherwise enjoyable comments, and have had a blast hanging out with everyone from (and sometimes, when I can, you know, get over my fears of them and hang in the chat at times). This fall has been a pleasant ride, and I do hope it extends far past the new year.

Okay. I will be working on stuff in the background starting now, and through the beginning of the New Year. Whatever happens, happens.

Maybe I will still get stuff in order soon enough to try and get the story its own site this year (2010). I might not.

But I am never gonna give it up. The work I have done is still important to the overall project!

I have entered full-blown self-loathing "nothing is good enough" mode on my writing again.

Ugh. Still gonna try and get the last three pages done on this "prologue". It's just gonna be sitting in a dark corner of my folders for a while, is all, while I try to figure out why starting a story is the hardest part (next to current misgivings about the setting; that may be more that the side of me that hearts fantasy really hard is gnawing on my spine).

It's not that I don't really think my stuff is good enough. I just don't know what I am doing.

Gah, wound up with no inspiration to work on inking, but sketched a lot. I will maybe work on pages tomorrow when I am not so taken by the urge to relax and work on non-comic pages.

Also have a handier dandier way to remind folks of the Kiriban! 8D

So...I have 4 pages left in MM's prologue. I'm going to try and get pages 21&22 done this weekend...relax a bit on Sunday maybe...and then on Monday-Wednesday, try to finish pages 23&24. Then even if I don't finish between now and Christmas I have til the 31st to meet my goal. \o/

Maybe I'll try to figure out how to get a fancy journal header picture, or do some Christmas-y (or Holiday-ish) art for fun in my downtime.
